This is the first version of the sound insulation calculation programme. It enables single and multiple insulations, according to their characteristics, as well as a large database of measurements carried out in accredited laboratories.
dBKAisla offers the option to calculate with different absorbent materials inside the chamber of solutions of several multiple layers. But this new version, it is possible to choose between different types of absorbent materials and their thickness. It also enables to distinguish between the wood and metal profiles.
The most relevant innovation of this version is that the user will be able to calculate the insulation according to the EN 12354-1 standard.
The evolution of the programme is not limited to its technical competences – the organisation and image have also been modified significantly, in order to optimise its functionality and efficiency.
The extension of the software has generated a version with more possibilities to calculate and also with functional properties that make it stand out from the rest.
First, a series of absorbent materials have been added to the insulation calculation inside the building elements chamber of separation, based on the resistance to the air flow according to the regulations.
On the other hand, one of the most renovated parts has been the database of the calculation materials according to the EN 12354-1 standard, which has been extended considerable with the products of some of the best manufacturers of the country. This database has been divided into personal sheets for each company. On one side there is the company's information, and on the other side, the information on the products, with images included. Because we want this database to be fully practical for the user, we have added a search engine to search for products and companies. Other innovations of version 2.1 are the result of the insulation calculation in DnT,A, and the extension of new options for the sound insulation calculation between adjoining and superimposed spaces.
Lastly, the design of the programme has been improved, with a much more modern image – both the style of the logo and the actual software format has evolved. With this improvement we were looking for a more current and attractive look, but also functional, so it is easier to use.
Tased on the previous version, in the part of single elements, dBKAisla 3.0 includes the option to calculate the impact insulation according to the calculation by homogeneous floor structure detailed in the EN 12354-2. Likewise, in the multiple elements part the ΔR calculation has been added (improvement of the insulation). The most significant change is the implementation of the calculation method of the EN 12354 relating to impact sound insulation between spaces, keeping part 1 of the airborne sound insulation that it already had. Therefore, with this new calculation option, materials with both types of insulation have been included into the programme database. With this application, the user will also have the new combination of spaces with one edge in common, together with the ones that existed in other versions, adjoining spaces and superimposed spaces. Finally, we have to highlight that the user will have the possibility of creating supporting sheets for the compliance of limit values of sound insulation.
The evolution of the programme can be seen on the interface, but also in its functionality in insulation modules for simple and multiple elements. An example of this is that the impact of the global value Ln,w for these types of solutions is added in the calculation of impact sound insulation. On the other hand, when users calculate the impact noise on multiple floors, they will have to take into account, amongst other parameters, the dynamic stiffness calculated by dynamic modulus elastic (Edyn) on the elastic material. Another added value is that up until now, the reports that were made at the end of the calculation process were based on airborne noise. dBKAisla 3.1, however, includes those of impact noise insulation for simple and multiple walls.
This new version also has new details that facilitate the calculation process, but also interaction, because dBKAisla enables users to copy all the result tables of the work session onto other programmes.
